"I've begun to see my business as BC and AC (Before Carolyn and After Carolyn). I don't say this lightly: Carolyn has been the best thing I've ever done for my business, except for starting it.

The main thing that Carolyn has brought to my life is not having to think about every tiny detail. The power of not needing to think about certain parts of my business is MASSIVE. Having space in my head means I can spend more time on things that move my business forward. I can think about big-picture things, and rest assured that everything is taken care of. I can think about future plans, I can take time off to look after my son, and even if I go into hospital for a surprise operation (which I recently just did for a month), I can focus purely on recovering because I know Carolyn has things sorted. I took an entire unscheduled month off of my business without having to worry! I was not in this place Before Carolyn.

I have had a few VAs working for my online business since it started 8 years ago and finding the right person is harder than finding a soulmate. I am beyond grateful that our paths crossed, and that Carolyn said yes to working with me. I have never met a human more reliable or more hardworking. In fact, I often have to tell her to STOP working. On top of her regular tasks, I send a list of projects for the month and that's it. I don't need to follow up or double-check. I don't even need to check the quality of the work. I know that once the email has been sent off, or once the task has been assigned, it will be done. It's like magic. Carolyn is magic.

I run an art membership, which means that there is a lot of heart in the business - both because my customers are around each month, and because they're sensitive souls exploring their creativity. Bringing a new member of the team into the fold is a Big Deal because it's no longer my opinion that counts. I introduced Carolyn without restraint and trusted her with a lot of things involving members and other artists. My members love Carolyn - they see her consistency, they see her constant showing up, and they see her heart. Carolyn has a massive heart. The artists I commission love her too. Her reliability and kindness in communication and the way she tackles tasks makes me look good.

All in all, my head is less foggy, I have more space for working on the parts of the business that drive it forward, my members and the artists I work with are incredibly happy, I'm no longer behind on tasks, I have so much time for the life outside of work, the business is growing, and I'm making more money. My business is a much better place for those I work with, those I service, and myself."
