Why It’s important To Schedule Regular Check-ins With Your Virtual Assistant

Now, we know that you don’t always have the time to hop on a call with your Virtual Assistant. It’s totally understandable. We encourage you to try and find the time - even if it’s just once a month.

Touching base with your Virtual Assistant not only gives them direction on how to support you better on the tasks you’ve set out for them, but it also builds a really good relationship with them.

Take it from me. I met with a client every week and it was honestly the most helpful thing we could have done. We spoke about tasks in more detail than what an email can explain, and it was so lovely to see her face. We’d not only touch base on the chaos going on work-wise but we also always had a good laugh.

Here are some reasons why scheduling regular check-ins with your Virtual Assistant is important:

It Improves Communication:

Regular check-ins give you the opportunity to chat about your goals in more detail. You can discuss, issues or concerns, and give feedback on the tasks they’ve already done. A Virtual Assistant isn’t by your side to ask any questions and it gives them that chance.

It Improves Accountability:

Regular check-ins can help increase accountability for you and your Virtual Assistant. You can set goals and expectations, and then review how they’re getting along. Your Virtual Assistant wants to support your business as best they can and being on the same page is the best way they can make sure they are doing so.

Identify Opportunities For Growth:

Regular check-ins allow you to identify where they can grow and how you can grow in your business. Bouncing some ideas off each other can work wonders for new business ideas.

So schedule that call or have your Virtual Assistant schedule it for you. Even if it’s for only 15 minutes. It will do a world of good.
